What does Rotterdam look like to you?
Well I think it's trash. Rubbish.
So there you have my concept. I made 4 bags with the names of a few neighbourhoods in Rotterdam. Kralingen, Afrikaanderwijk, Oude westen en nieuwe westen.
In these neighbourhoods I collected my trash.
What I liked about this assignment, is that the things I found also represent the neighbourhoods a bit. In Kralingen I found a very nice cuff button. In Oude and Nieuwe westen I found a lot of Lebara prepaid cards.
When I had enough trash, I painted a smudgy white background on canvas, and remade the neighbourhoods out of trash.
